The very beginning

Patrice Brunet becomes a member of the Quebec Bar.

May 1993

Birth of the firm

The firm opened on Berri Street in Montreal. It has relocated several times since then and is now located in the Outremont neighborhood.

1995

Lawyer and arbitrator

Patrice Brunet is appointed as an accredited arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

1996

Immigration

The firm expands its expertise to business immigration.

Sports law

Expansion of the sports law practice.

Patrice Brunet is the founder and managing partner of Patrice Brunet Avocats. For over 30 years, he has focused his practice on his two passions: immigration and sports. He assists companies seeking to recruit foreign workers, as well as individuals aspiring to obtain temporary or permanent residency and Canadian citizenship. A recognized expert in sports law, Brunet is also a respected arbitrator in this field. Additionally, as a skilled communicator, he is frequently invited by the media to comment on current issues related to immigration and sports law.

Lawyer, business immigration, and sports law

Simon De Andrade practices as a business immigration lawyer. Rigorous, available and driven by great intellectual curiosity, he offers creative solutions for work permits, permanent residence as well as many other Canadian immigration situations.

As a graduate of Université de Montréal, Simon has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2020. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in international relations and international law, as well as a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law. Always passionate about sport, he continues to work in the soccer world as a coach-educator for young people.

Charlotte Boucher serves as the executive assistant and administrative manager, leveraging her background in international relations and firsthand experience with Canadian immigration through a Working Holiday Visa. In addition to supporting the firm’s attorneys, she oversees finances, marketing, and office administration. A former judoka, Charlotte actively participates in the team’s sports initiatives, bringing her organizational skills and dynamic spirit to the firm.
